Washi Paper Covered Notepads and Magnets

I made around 50 pieces notepads and made magnets out of the scrap paper that was left of it. I was not planning on making a new post but for the first time in a long time, I went to bed at 9pm only to be woken up by the annoying fire alarm around 10:30, everybody in the building grudgingly went down using the fire exit which is not that fun coz we live at the 7th floor and it was freezing outside. Luckily though we only have to wait for like 5 to ten minutes and we all went back up but after 5 minutes the fire alarm went off again. I opted to go out in the balcony and looked down, the fire truck was already gone, I was thinking they just might be testing something. Most of my neighbors were out too, checking if everybody would go back down again, most of us decided to stay at the balcony and waited for the fire truck which came after 5 minutes and turned the system off again and everybody went up, it was a faulty sprinkler that set the fire alarm off according to my neighbor. I got inside the house and I was debating if I should work on more crafts for the bazaar this weekend or try to go back to sleep since I have to teach an English class to a bunch of Japanese kids. I usually do it every Friday until my friend gets back from her maternity leave but Friday would be a Japanese Holiday which turned out really great coz the set up for the USO Bazaar would be at 3pm and I dont get back on base until 530pm.  So here it is 1:30am and I am wide awake, grabbed my camera and uploaded the pics that Ive been taking the last couple of days.

I dont know why the Air Force Base has more crafty stuff than the Navy base but on our recent trip to Yokota I got the Martha Stewart Score Board and Envelope Tool, I kept on looking for it at Joann's but it was always out of stock and I didnt realize that Amazon was carrying it. I love buying from Amazon coz they ship super fast, within a week its here, with Joann's minimum waiting time is 6 to 7 weeks but they offer so much craft tools and I cant resist even though shipping takes forever, plus they always have a good SALE!!!

Using the scoreboard is so great, it was heaven sent! Cutting the card for the cover was so easy, even the scoring and folding, it didnt take me that long to whip up a batch. Ive used Avery glue stick to attach the washi paper to the card and went on cutting ribbons and added my personal touch, the charm that says "made with love". Ive printed labels using Avery 5160 then individually wrapped it. I wanted to make some more designs but I guess I would save those for the next Navy Exchange Bazaar in April.

So here it goes, all made with love!
